Technopark Luzern Ignites Next Level

Technopark Luzern is getting a new managing director with Aldo Lamberti. The AI entrepreneur wants to develop TPL into a leading innovation platform in Switzerland. The previous managing director Franco Chicherio is switching to his own company after four successful years at the Technopark. Technopark Luzern stands before a new era. Franco Chicherio hands over his management mandate at the end of March 2025 after four successful years to focus fully on his own growing company. From April, Aldo Lamberti will lead the destiny of the Technopark as managing director. The board of Technopark Luzern selected Aldo Lamberti from over 150 applications in a multi-stage evaluation process. Lamberti convinced both with his personality and his career path. With his education as Master of Arts HSG (M.A. HSG) in Economics at the University of St. Gallen and his professional experience, most recently as founder and CEO of his own startup in artificial intelligence (AI), he brings ideal prerequisites to ignite the next level of Technopark development. Technopark Luzern wants to further expand its already significant role as a hub for innovative startups and young companies nationally and internationally in the coming years. The strong networks with SMEs, universities, and investors should be further intensified. "Startups need access to markets, capital, and know-how – this is exactly where we want to target and intensify the exchange with the most important actors in the technology landscape," says Aldo Lamberti. A focus should be on artificial intelligence. Franco Chicherio hands over a strong foundation for the next level of development to his successor. "Basically, together with the board, we have developed a solid strategy that forms a good basis for the rapid familiarization of Aldo Lamberti," says the departing managing director. Patrick Wyss, President of the Technopark Luzern Association, welcomes the new managing director. "With Aldo Lamberti, we were able to win a proven AI expert with valuable entrepreneurial experience. With him, we want to develop Technopark Luzern into a central location for innovations with national and international appeal." Wyss also thanks Franco Chicherio. "Franco has sustainably shaped the startup ecosystem in the region with the Technopark and created a bridge to connect startups with investors through the successful establishment of VCI – Venture Club Central Switzerland."
