Visienco Settles at Technopark Luzern
Visienco prepares for the market launch of its platform for automatic differentiation of organoids at Technopark Luzern, enabling higher efficiency and reducing dependence on animal testing.

Visienco has settled at Technopark Luzern. The startup founded at the end of January is preparing for the market launch of its platform for automatic differentiation of organoids after three years of support from the Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM) in Alpnach OW.
Previously, scientists "spent hours analyzing and preparing organoid cultures using microscopes and pipettes," explains co-founder and COO Lucie Jandet in an interview with CSEM. "Our system automates the workflow: Petri dishes with different organoid types are introduced into our platform, which differentiates them quickly and precisely using state-of-the-art technology." This leads "to higher efficiency, reproducibility, and scalability and enables researchers to easily conduct large-scale drug screenings."
Jandet points out that it was not an easy task to develop a system that can handle the considerable diversity of brain, liver, or eye organoids and that also integrates seamlessly into customers' existing laboratory setups. With the help of expertise available at CSEM regarding organoid technology, optics, and microsystems, the three-member founding team Lucie Jandet, CEO Edwige Guinet, and CTO Jonas Goldowsky has been able to refine and optimize its technology. It wants to grow to ten people by 2027.
Through the long-standing collaboration with CSEM in Alpnach, the opportunity to settle at Technopark Luzern "simply felt perfect," according to Jandet. Additionally, the startup support program Zünder offered important resources and networking opportunities. And finally, Lucerne is "not only an innovation center but also a fantastic place to live and work."
